Everyone is overreacting, in my opinion. Chanman brought it up, and it was obvious that Ek0p really didn't want to elaborate too much. He says "I'm not going into this, seriously.

It's just that the majority of people really like Trump, so their views on what Ek0p says is biased. While Ek0p has a right to an opinion, and there may be some merit to it.

Trump having constant sub-only mode, etc. Trump once said on a Youtube video Unsure which one, so no link that he put his Twitch chat into Sub-only mode because it was really hard to see questions among the spam, having to re-answer questions which have been answered when someone who's just joined asks them and that he found it hard to keep up with the chat itself, which isn't unusual as a lot of highly viewed streams are often in sub-only mode.

He also turns off sub mode when he plays other games after dinner, so the spamerino does get its time to shine anyways.

Seriously, I just saw the vod and think it's normal for some people to dislike others for whatever reason, it happens, but the hate and name calling Ek0p is getting is way over the top and downright immature, Chanman was the one that fueled the fire and he should be the one taking the blame, even Gnmish said "why would you push them into that direction?

I think people have a double standard here. People commend interviewers all the time for asking the "hard" questions, yet Chanman tries to address a popular event and he's criticized.

It was a fair question, and adults should be able to respectfully defend their personal perspectives. If people are uncomfortable about hard questions, that's not the interviewer's fault.

It wasn't some sort of extremely personal line Chanman crossed. It wasn't Chanman that did that. Try the same situation with different people.

Kripp has said some critical things about Reynad, but as far as I can tell he still respects Reynad and Kripp seems like the kind of guy that wouldn't mind talking to Reynad about those criticisms.

I don't get the double standard. What I dislike about this isn't ek0p's dickishness, it's the fact that people are trying to somehow legitimize what he said by saying how, in their opinions, Trump is boring or whatever.

I mean if you find him boring then fine, I don't and I love to watch his stream, but somehow trying to act like someone calling Trump a "greedy bastard" is okay because you dislike Trump's stream and popularity is childish IMO.

Ek0p doesn't like him. Fine, but to call him a greedy bastard directly in the stream was trifling. It's clear Ek0P doesn't care about his reputation, after the raging and throwing a fit during a tourney, he already knows how many people dislike him.

He's just trying to bring everyone down with him. Whatever, being a hater won't get you anywhere. Ek0P should focus more on his own play so he might actually do well in a tourney.

Manufactured hate to get more views. Any publicity is good publicity and he hasn't been in the news for a while.

People always say "no press is bad press", but honestly I used to watch his stream but stopped due to his constant negativity. Seeing him say something like this makes me much less inclined to give him another chance.

So being a jackass lost my viewership along with anyone else who thinks like me which I am sure is not insignificant. He'll drop by as a guest on some big name HS streams.

I heard him on Hafu's stream once. And recently he was in Amaz's. Given his personality style it seemed really weird he would be hanging out in their streams.

Which makes me think he just wants to use his appearance as a way to plug his stream. Chaman kind of forced him into saying something Ekop even said straight up he didn't want to get into it on the show It's kind of a shame.

I thought ek0p was a lot less of a douche since he was on Amaz's channel the last few days. That changed pretty rapidly. This video was the first time I've ever seen him and he seems like an egotistical cretin.

Their reactions explained it all. Trump took an unjustified insult like a mature man. While Ekop throws insults with nothing to back it up.

I used to hate Ekop, then i realised he was "playing the bad guy". But now i dislike him again. You don't go around and insult people with nothing to back it up.

You don't have to like Trump, but you don't have to be a bitch about it. Some people say it's because of sub-only chat.

I hate being unable to chat in trump's room. But how's kripp's channel any different? I actually like Trump's Sub-Chat. You get something out of subscribing.

Don't know what's wrong with that. I am no sub. I do not subscribe to Trump but I love his sub-only chat. Reading somewhat intelligent chat is preferable to reading kappas and salt pictures being spammed even if I cannot contribute to the chat myself.

Think about how loud it gets in a bar or somewhere when you have just a ton of people talking at once, you have to either talk louder or just get drowned out yourself Some streamers just let it go and you can see a drop in the quality of their interaction "Oh chat is rioting about x at the moment" comments are most of what you get.

Trump uses sub-only chat so that some interaction can still take place. I will note that I recently did sub to Trump, not because I wanted to chat, but because he has given me hours of entertainment and I wanted to help support him.

Already disliked Ekop before this, just cemented my opinion on him now. Trump is a kind person and shouldn't have been spoken to that way, not that I'm a trump fanboy or anything.

For all the people questioning Chanman's decision to bring it up, i am fairly sure Trump said yesterday on stream that he wanted to address the issue on Value Town.

Still not pretty the way it went down however. Ek0P continues to be the least professional of all Hearthstone players. His bad attitude coupled with his trash talking and in this case, not trash talking but general dislike.

Trump is a good player, absolutely fun to watch and just a nice freaking guy. I'll take the nice guy over the asshole, thank you very much! I don't think it was a bad idea for Chanman to bring it up.

It was the elephant in the room, may as well address it if they're both there. I seriously think it was miscommunication. Ekop told Chanman he wanted him to bring up what happened on Amaz's stream, but he should have been more specific about meaning the yolo Rag and worked out the details beforehand.

Considering twitch chat and Chanman's twitter were constantly going on about what Ekop said, I think it was just an honest msitake.

I don't know why Chanman brought it up in the first place.. But I really don't understand why ekop dislikes Trump so much?

Is there any valid reasoning behind it, or..? I've literally never seen anything Trump that would suggest he is 'greedy'. And then telling Trump to 'deal with it, not everyone can like you'.

That's just incredibly unnecessary and bad mannered. It's simple, Trump is beloved by the community, Ek0P not so much. Trump has one of the most popular streams on Twitch, Ek0p doesn't.

Sad that Ekop can't examine his own behavior like this to see why that's the case. Instead he'll just attack Trump who actually knows how to not be an insufferable prick.

Well ek0p, I don't like you because you're boring as hell and a subpar pro player, I hope reynad crushes you soon. Trumps just an all around nice guy, who likes the game and has a great fanbase, don't be jealous that you have the personality of a stump and are just an average "pro".

Okay Ek0p doesn't like Trump. Regardless, the point that someone feels the need to express that opinion in public that someone is a greedy bastard, even though he can't and refuse to argument why , just shows us all that Ek0p has a really horrible personality.

There is no reason for Ek0p to express his bad opinions, in such a way that does nothing more than hurt people unconstructive manner.

Nobody gets along with everyone they meet, but you don't always have to tell everyone how you feel about everyone else, especially not if your only motive is to hurt them and not help them.

Trump got a degree in finance and chose to be a professional gamer instead, I think Ek0p is very off the mark calling Trump greedy.

BTW I'd like to give a shoutout to all my sponsors". Pretty unprofessional from chanman to bring that up in such a show, it was just awkward for everyone.

Most current Hearthstone events are brought up on Value Town, especially popular opinion. Last week, RDU was on and his Bucharest win and getting messaged was addressed.

This week ek0p happened to be the guest for the show and he happened to also be in news for his opinion on me.

You can never know how exactly a topic will go. I didn't have a problem with the topic. Greedy or not, streaming and playing Hearthstone professionally is basically your full time job.

As long as your stream is entertaining and informative, which it is, I don't see a problem. On top of that, let's be honest here: Trump might be super popular in Hearthtone now but he might be less popular in a few years if Hearthstone decreases in popularity and viewers prefer to watch another streamer playing another game.

So really, when you start to hit your stride you want to capitalize on how much you earn because it's uncertain how long it can last.

I'm not sure why people are giving Chanman flack about this. If Chan asked Kripp to explain to Reynad why he thought Reynad's RDU assertions were unfounded, that would be a great interview discussion.

The only reason I think people are criticizing Chanman here is because the conversation ended up uncomfortable, largely due to ek0p's behavior.

I much prefer a host that asks interesting questions to one that avoids those questions in order to keep everyone comfy. Well they are all adults aren't they?

People should be able to discuss things like this. I don't think it was unprofessional at all. To be fair, it was Ekops resonse that was the unprofessional part of this whole ordeal.

I think if you're going to say bad things about someone on stream, you should have the balls to properly articulate why you dislike them when someone calls you out on it and when the person you dislike is in front of you.

You don't have to back down and change your opinion, but don't act all defensive like you didn't say anything.

Technically they may be considered adults, but many of these "professional" gamer types are still act like children who don't know how to act properly or take a considered, reasonable stance about a volatile topic.

I can understand Ekops perspective but I don't agree with it. Fact is that trump clearly does care about money but calling him a greedy bastard is overdoing a tad.

For those of you who did watch value town trump won a game in some tournament because Ekop DC'd and it was up to trump to decided weather or not to remake the game.

Trump decided to take the free win even though it appeared that ekop had it in the bag and as a result ekop thinks that trump is a bit scummy.

IMO, it such's that ekop lost because of a technicality but you can in no way blame trump for taking the win. Trump may be a successful stream and I doubt he needed the money but this is his career.

If someone offered me a promotion and I thought someone else deserved it more I would take the promotion anyway.

You cant blame people for looking after themselves you can only celebrate the ones who put others first. That's a hell of a no-go on a show like this in my honest opinion.

Not sure why chanmanv pushed them in that direction either. Both awkward as heck and a horrible PR move. Trump did say that he wanted to address it, but it certainly wasn't Chanman's move to make.

That wasn't really adressing anything, he just flat out insulted trump pretty badly without giving any reasoning. I guess I finally understand all that hate for ekop.

It was super awkward. I, too, was expecting the 4 to talk about the Ragnaros shot for legend that Amaz had earlier today.

That surprising look on Trump's face is heartbreaking. But Ekop subscribes to Amaz who also is streaming for money like any streamer with 5k plus viewers doesn't..

Every1 seems to be pinning alot if not all the blame on chanman for what happened 2day, but what alot of people either dont realize or seem to have forgotten, is that trump announced on bhis stream yesterday that he was going to address it on valuetown, as trump knew ekop was going to be 1 of the guests.

Trump IS the "mayor" of valuetown It's on Youtube now. The drama unfolds at I'm not a huge fan of Trump's sub chat, but I do think that the greedy remark is bizarrely uncalled for.

And honestly, some people don't have to chose, they make a lot of money doing things they love. I'm sorry ek0p doesn't let them have that, but I think the problem lies with him.

Followed by, and I'm paraphrasing here This just an attempt by Ekop to once more use his BM to get more attention. The guy is alright at HS but he's such a douche bag, that I don't really see how people can like the guy.

To me this comes off as ek0p being jealous about Trump's success and an attempt to drive folks to his stream. I personally think trump is very transparent and a very straight forward guy who I wish much success for.

Not a fan of Ekop really either, he seems to do great in tournaments but I don't like this type of negativity.

Vod of the show: Hearthstone Tourneys currently are a total waste of time. They cost you so much more than they pay you and are so splintered and obscure that most of them no one even knows happened.

Trump staying home to earn rather than bleed cash going to random unknown events makes sense. If one day these tourneys become something and there are more competitors instead of the same 10 guys that are willing to make the trips then it would make sense for him to try harder.

Ultimately Ekop is just jealous though and would trade places with Trump in a heart beat and if he had charisma he could also make a living off streaming.

I personally would like to see new players on the scene. These invitationals are unfair to the rest of the community and show nothing in terms of which player is better.

The better play can climb to the top, he doesn't need to be place there. Use of this site constitutes acceptance of our User Agreement and Privacy Policy.

The initial team that we had for Cloud9 , was actually […] made by me. I was the main factor to decide that team.

But Lifecoach also kinda overreacted in my opinion. Because after all, all they did was follow the rules. Sure — it was a little bit scummy to not give Lifecoach the win.

Getting scamazed by Trump 3. Not getting paid by Cloud 9 http: Because of the whole view botting. Like he only thinks about himself.

I think I asked him once about it, before he was in Cloud9. Because there have been a lot of accusations before already regarding the view bots on his channel.

But he always denied it.

He only ever hosted my once I think. I just hope he gets banned soon, and kicked from Cloud 9. P4wnyhof is also a view botter just like Massan.

Which is also the reason why Gnimsh left Cloud 9. Like […] in the first Archon Team League I won more money than in all my previous tournament performances combined.

If you want to make a competitive Hearthstone team, the last person you should get on that team is TidesOfTime.

To be honest though, guys, Cloud9 kinda went to shit Hearthstone-wise after all the new signings… TidesOfTime and Massan. The initial team that we had for Cloud9 , was actually […] made by me.

Sure — it was a little bit scummy to not give Lifecoach the win. Getting scamazed by Trump 3. Just to give a little insight to why Ekop feels this way, during the last time Ekop and Trump played in tournament, Ekop claims to have been in a huge advantage when there was a technical difficulty causing him to forfeit the game.

Supposedly, Trump took the win by rules of the tournament instead of offering a rematch or conceding the match.

Trump went on to win the set Ekop said he hated Trump even before that happened. It is just plain jealousy that Trump gets the viewers and he doesn't, that is why he couldn't give a reason why he thinks Trump is greedy.

It would show him to be a greedy bastard just like the person he hates. Has ekop actually explained his position?

Whenever I've watched Trump he has seemed really passionate about the game and enjoys playing it.

He has subscribers and lots of views, so of course brings in some decent money. Is that a bad thing? Surely earning money for something you enjoy doing is a really great way to live your life?

I don't get it. Trump also could be a lot greedier with his popularity. He doesn't really have any sponsors, he's not on a team, and he doesn't do any affiliate stuff g2a.

What's weird is that Trump definitely isn't greedy. He majored in finance at NYU and worked at a bank, then quit cause he was bored and didn't want the money that much.

Especially the "I know you wanted to talk about this a bit. So you wanna talk about this? It's possible to not like any particular person, but you don't say you don't like them and don't say why.

IDC who you are or what you think but it's just rude to do that as a guest and to bring it up as a host. Everyone is overreacting, in my opinion.
